Des chercheurs chinois de l’universit\u00e9 de Shandong, affirment, dans une \u00e9tude parue d\u00e9but juin dans la revue scientifique Cell et relay\u00e9e par CNN, avoir retrouv\u00e9 chez des chauves-souris un coronavirus g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement tr\u00e8s proche du Covid-19.<\/p>\n

A la suite de pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements r\u00e9alis\u00e9s entre mai 2019 et novembre 2020 dans la province de Yunnan, les analyses des \u00e9chantillons d’urine, d’excr\u00e9ments et de salive ont permis d’identifier un coronavirus proche du Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Les chercheurs ont pu assembler 24 nouveaux g\u00e9nomes de coronavirus de diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces de chauves-souris, dont quatre coronavirus comme le SARS-CoV-2, indique le rapport.<\/p>\n

Ils soulignent que la forme la plus proche du Covid-19, responsable de la pand\u00e9mie mondiale, baptis\u00e9e RpYN06, a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9lev\u00e9e sur une esp\u00e8ce de chauve-souris fer \u00e0 cheval, connue pour \u00eatre un r\u00e9servoir important de coronavirus, la Rhinolophus pusillus.<\/p>\n

Et d’expliquer que \u00ab\u00a0seules des diff\u00e9rences g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques sur la prot\u00e9ine de pointe, la structure en forme de crochet que le virus utilise pour se fixer aux cellules, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 not\u00e9es en comparant cette souche \u00e0 celle du SARS-CoV-2\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Avec trois autres \u00e9chantillons pr\u00e9lev\u00e9s et d\u00e9crits dans l’\u00e9tude comme \u00e9tant \u00e9galement g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement proches du SARS, les chercheurs de l’universit\u00e9 de Shandong, estiment qu’il existe de nombreuses vari\u00e9t\u00e9s de coronavirus chez les chauves-souris et qu’il est possible que cela se propage, de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, chez les humains.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
