Mark Shuttleworth, le fameux fondateur de la Ubuntu Foundation, la fondation qui tend \u00e0 promouvoir le syst\u00e8me d’exploitation Open source du m\u00eame nom, a \u00e9t\u00e9 la grande star de la 6\u00e9me \u00e9dition de la conf\u00e9rence nationale sur les logiciels libres qui se d\u00e9roule actuellement \u00e0 Gammarth. Son intervention n’a dur\u00e9 qu’une demi-heure et a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivie d’une s\u00e9ance de questions\/r\u00e9ponses trop courte au gout des pr\u00e9sents.<\/p>\n

Une intervention berc\u00e9e par une voix pleine d\u2019assurance lors de laquelle, Mark Shuttleworth a exprim\u00e9 sa joie d’\u00eatre parmi nous et d’\u00eatre surtout accueilli par un pays africain.<\/p>\n

Le fondateur d\u2019Ubuntu a particuli\u00e8rement mis l’accent sur la culture de l’open source. Il a dit \u201cl\u2019Open source est la fa\u00e7on avec laquelle les gens font des logiciels\u201d et qu’il faut prendre en consid\u00e9ration les id\u00e9es des \u00e9tudiants et les concr\u00e9tiser en projets.<\/p>\n

L’heure n’est pas \u00e0 faire la promotion d’un produit mais \u00e0 faire la promotion de toute une culture, une mani\u00e8re de concentrer l’intelligence et la force collective afin de rendre un produit le plus adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 la demande du grand public.<\/p>\n

Une question tr\u00e8s pertinente a \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e par un des \u00e9tudiants pr\u00e9sents dans la salle : \u00ab\u00a0comment les gens vont-ils faire confiance \u00e0 l\u2019Open Source ?\u201d. Mark Shuttleworth a alors r\u00e9pondu : \u00ab\u00a0Vous n’avez pas \u00e0 \u00eatre un geek pour l’appr\u00e9cier et c’est l\u00e0 que la confiance est b\u00e2tie\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Diff\u00e9rents intervenants ont pris la parole par la suite afin de parler des technologies Open Source.
