L'armée israélienne a bombardé ce dimanche 3 août, pour la 7ème fois depuis le début des hostilités entre Hamas et Israël, les environs d'une école de l'ONU. Dix membres du personnel de l'UNRWA ont été tués selon le commissaire général de l'organisation Pierre Krähenbühl.

L'une des 90 écoles de l'UNRWA à Gaza, notamment celle à Rafah, abrite près de 3000 personnes déplacées. Les premiers rapports font état de multiples décès et blessés d'après Chris Gunness le porte-parole de l'organisation.

Le dernier bombardement date du 30 juillet. Encore une fois, l'UNRWA qui se charge de plus de 269,793 Palestiniens déplacés, appelle au respect du droit international, en vain.
